Terms and Conditions
These terms and conditions form the basis of the contract between Country Desks (2007) and the customer. Both Country Desks and the customer must agree in writing to any changes in these conditions.
Country Desks will supply the furniture ordered in accordance with the customers order as detailed in the Acknowledgement of Order document issued after the order has been received. Country Desks guarantees the goods shall be of satisfactory quality and fit for purpose.
The prices of the leathers shown in our brochure refer to standard leathers. Hand dyed Russet hides are available at additional costs. All leathers are natural skin and as such are susceptible to shade differences, slight imperfections and uneven thickness which cannot be eliminated but which show their natural origin and confirm authenticity.
The terms Mahogany, Oak & Yew refer to the finish only and do not mean that the article is made entirely of that material ( this excludes our solid wood range of furniture ). The wood shades shown in our brochure or on our website cannot be taken as an exact copy due to the printing process of the images.All prices shown are plus vat and delivery.
Due to our policy of continuous improvement we reserve the right to alter specifications without prior notice. All sizes are approximate.
Country Desks will endeavour to dispatch goods within a quoted delivery time but does not guarantee to do so. Our transport contractors will carry out a delivery service to the nominated address (UK Mainland) Monday to Friday and will advise the customer beforehand. Offshore and overseas deliveries can be arranged, prices on application. All goods must be inspected and signed for at time of delivery. It is the responsibility of the customer that the goods will go into the customers’ premises. Any difficulties regarding access must be brought to the attention of Country Desks prior to delivery. Should additional labour or time be required due to difficult access, the costs will be borne by the customer.Please be advised that whilst every care will be taken by the delivery drivers, we cannot be held responsible for any damages that occur to your property or possessions whilst the delivery is in progress. A deposit of 30% is required with each order (50% for bepoke and specials)
All goods shall be paid in full by the customer before despatch. The title of the goods shall remain with Country Desks until the customer had paid all outstanding sums owed.
CANCELATION of BESPOKE ORDERS
Should you wish to cancel your made to order item it is unlikely that we could sell it to another customer at the full selling price. We will charge a cancellaton fee of 50% of the full selling price.In respect of theses orders our usual refund policy does not apply and products cannot be cancelled, returned or exchanged unless faulty.
